THE AIM

Our aim is to be a community resource, especially for people wanting to shop and source services in Chobham. This is purely a passion-hobby project, so there is no charge for listings.

Most of the listings are businesses or organisations based in or running activities in Chobham with some carefully considered exceptions. We include a handful of businesses from other villages offering essential services that are not available in Chobham  - hardware stores for instance! Some businesses are included because their owners live in Chobham and there are a few places listed that are strictly-speaking just over the border in another village or borough but we stretch the point!

The editor's decision is always final.

ARE WE A TRIED AND TESTED SITE?

We are not aiming, or claiming, to be a "tried and tested" site. We don't have a team of ChobhamLoves "secret shoppers" or inspectors.

The content is provided in good faith for contact information only and does not constitute an endorsement of any products or services.

However, we do sometimes mention favourite products and services on social media, share good personal experiences and pass on names of businesses that we have heard good reports about.

Reasonable efforts are made to keep the information up-to-date and correct but we make no guarantees of its accuracy and assume no responsibility or liability for any error or omission. Suggestions of Chobham businesses and organisations to add to the listings are welcome but we do not guarantee inclusion.

• We endeavour to provide external links to relevant and safe websites but we cannot guarantee or verify their contents. Clicking on external links is at users' own risk. 

• We are not collecting names and contact details or passwords through this site, although we do invite you to like and follow us on Facebook and Instagram*** where we share marketing posts from local businesses.  

• When you contact us by email, we would only use your email addresses for future marketing/promotional emails about Chobham Loves if you give us your permission. We will not be sharing any details with other organisations.

• Chobham Loves was conceived, researched, compiled and the website designed, on Wix.com, by Hedgehogs Ink.

• Most of the information on the site is already is in the public domain so we can't copyright. It has been published online, on individual business websites, directories such as those at Companies House and the Charities Commission or on social media, or, it is information that has been publicised on public noticeboards. If it not published already, we have asked and been given permission to use it.

• The allium and bee illustrations are from thegraphicsfairy.com. Where generic library-sourced photographs are used, they are individually credited. All other photographs are the editor's own.

• Please do not copy our original images  - or those we are using from other sources - without asking.  There are various sources of images that can be used free or for a modest fee.
