A local, Independent Travel Agent offering an array of holidays, flights, cruises and more at competitive prices.

We can book holidays (all budgets accommodated), flight only, ocean and river cruises, City breaks.  We love to help our clients build their prefect trip.

What is your story?

The original owner Pat Svanberg opened Chobham Travel in April 1994. She had an agency in Frimley but wanted a new shop. An opening became available on the High Street and the rest is history.

I worked with Pat and when she retired about 9 years ago and asked if I would like to take over to which I said yes, so am now the owner...30 years after we first opened.

Why use a travel agency?

People  always think the internet is cheaper but that's not always the case.  Booking with Chobham Travel, you have us on hand to help you along the way and we know which companies to use and have the best offers.  We have also been to various destinations and hotels and can sometimes offer first hand advice.  

 

What do you love best about your job?

I love coming into work not knowing which country I will be visiting that day!!!  I like to be able to help our clients with every step of their trip including online check in, restaurant reservations and special requests for their hotel reservation.

What are the tough bits?

 I think the hardest thing about being in travel is when we spend a lot of time looking for holidays and offering advice to then be told, thank you, we've taken your advice and booked online or people not coming back to us after we have found options for them.  If you do find something cheaper, please do not worry about telling us, we can try to help on price where possible.

The best thing a client has said?

No one thing. We are so lucky to have the loveliest of clients and you will see this via our testimonials on our website.  It's always nice receiving flowers and chocolates from a satisfied customer.

Best holiday?

There have been a few but my Wedding in Mauritius will always be one of my favourites.  Maldives, safari in Zimbabwe and a cruise with Regent Seven Seas are up there...

Destinations on your bucket list?

 Canada, Switzerland and Costa Rica are on my radar.

 

What do you love most about Chobham?

The community spirit and just walking along the High Street and always seeing a familiar face.
